Gender has its spectral roots.

Get out and grab what best suits—

As simple as possible, Einstein said.

But not simpler—then you’re dead.

Many did not apply for birth,

stuck down here to mourn on Earth.

A deliberate life, they say, is best

(later on there'll be a test).

It worked for me and might for you.

That's how one joins the Happy Few.

If you can't relate to kitten heels,

you'll never figure how it feels,

or swop them out for thigh-high boots.
