Obversity

A stone is heavy and the sand is heavy, but dumb insolency outweighs both.—Proverbs 27:3

There’s no such word, and we perfèct, of course,

nor ruined lives nor our unfamous work.

No matter how we thrash and have recourse

to hopeful arguments and dreams that lurk

in pleonastic foldings of the brain,

no time's left, in any age, to regain.

Still, it’s not too late for “yet”—the thought's free.

Our ending may call forth some new obversity!
