The Thumbsuckers

This world is led by mules,

Like you, like me. If fools

Should wish to know what comes,

We suck it from our thumbs,

The roots of such info.

Life bites, the logic runs.

Let's kill things with our guns,

Should ruling make it so.

But kings are often mad,

Though sometimes just plain bad.

There's reason to be sad.

When Caesar claimed renown

In ancient Rome's uptown,

The Romans cut him down.
